Influenced by “a love of story telling and the golden oldies” he grew up with, Irish singer Tim Chadwick emerged from the singer-songwriter scene in his native Dublin – “I played anywhere and to anyone who would listen. All around Dublin. Any singer songwriter night – you bet I was there”. In 2017 with his debut ‘Early Days’ EP, a set of fulsome, honest pop songs with a folk-edge, Chadwick revealed an ear for a great hook.

He spent the rest of the year playing shows – including opening for Rufus Wainright in the UK – writing and listening – and expanding his frame of reference. “I think in the last year I’ve really focused on who I want to be as an artist, rather than just sticking to the singer songwriter genre. I wanted to create music that I listened and danced to and didn’t want to be held down by labels.”

Early 2018 saw him head into the studio with Diffusion Lab, the rapidly emerging Dublin-based production house to explore this new world, and the first result is ‘Weakness’. “There is a big change in the sound this time around, but the content has and will always remain the same: personal and honest experiences”
