Double Bill: W.A.L.K.E.R. & CREEP

W.A.L.K.E.R. are a hard rock band based in Dublin.
They produce a thick, riff driven, good time hard rock sound with influences from late 80’s rock bands. but are still firmly rooted in the new generation of hard rock.

What defines W.A.L.K.E.R. ?
“Good songs, a high energy and entertaining live show and a “fans come first” attitude.
Bringing Rock Back is more than a statement…. It’s a promise”.

In February 2010, four boys started a band with the dream of becoming a somewhat successful rock band. Piecing together musical influences from 90s grunge groups like Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam, classic hard rock legends from Queen to Guns & Roses, and a dash of doom metal, such as early Black Sabbath and Electric Wizard the boys have become men and are in the business of bringing heavy riffs with melody to the masses.

CREEP have just finished recording ur debut EP “Aurora” which will be out for release in the coming weeks.

Influenced by “a love of story telling and the golden oldies” he grew up with, Irish singer Tim Chadwick emerged from the singer-songwriter scene in his native Dublin – “I played anywhere and to anyone who would listen. All around Dublin. Any singer songwriter night – you bet I was there”. In 2017 with his debut ‘Early Days’ EP, a set of fulsome, honest pop songs with a folk-edge, Chadwick revealed an ear for a great hook.

Irish singer/songwriter Mundy is one of a number of artists to successfully make the transition from street busking in Dublin to international stardom during the ’90s. Mundy’s mainly acoustic, folk-based pop/rock has been compared to Damien Rice and Josh Ritter; however, his style is more upbeat and celebratory than either, and his jangle-pop influence and tendency to experiment with unconventional sonic textures and beats further distinguishes him.

Wildwood Kin

Aiken Promotions proudly presents Wildwood Kin live at Lost Lane.

Family alt-folk trio Wildwood Kin made quite the impression with their 2017 debut album ‘Turning Tides’. It set them on course for an enthralling ride which led to majestic performances at Glastonbury, Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park and the Teenage Cancer Trust’s ‘A Beautiful Night Out’ at the Royal Albert Hall – plus extensive support from Radio 2 and BBC Introducing. A growing fanbase fell under their spell in the process, pushing them past the 20 million streams landmark.

Now Wildwood Kin return with their self-titled second album, which will be released on October 4th via Silvertone Records/Sony. Completely fulfilling the band’s artistic vision, it’s as natural as it is accomplished. The trio’s vocals harmonise effortlessly, there are shades of Simon & Garfunkel, Bear’s Den and early Fleet Foxes in the beautifully gentle folk rock melodies, and its lyrics address profound themes like love, loss and spirituality. But above all, there’s a spirit to the record that’s as wild and free as the West Country moors where they grew up.

The album will be released on CD, vinyl, and digital/streaming and is now available to pre-order now here, with ‘Never Alone’ provided as an instant download.
