We Bloom Presents: CC BREZ, Slaney & Ma-Ka
We Bloom are celebrating their 5th year showcasing new Irish music with a very exciting
move to LoSt LaNe.
After giving the likes of SOULÉ, Æ MAK, LAOISE, Wastefellow, Thumper, Erica Cody, Super Silly,
and many many more their first Dublin gigs; we are extremely looking forward to hosting We Bloom, who give Bands, Artists, Songwriters, Producers an opportunity to showcase the massive
array of talent Ireland has to offer.
This week sees artists CC BREZ, Slaney & Ma-Ka take to the stage.
CC Brez is Cormac Breslin, a former member of supreme Funksters, Republic of Loose. He
recently released his EP ‘This Funk Is For You’ having major Prince & Rick James
elements, which we are not complaining about. A man responsible for the eternally catchy
‘Comeback Girl’ amongst others. We are thrilled to have such a whopper dude on our stage.
MA-KA is an Alternative R&B singer/songwriter based in Dublin, Ireland. She had humble
beginnings singing in a church choir from a very young age, but it wasn’t until she finished
college that she discovered her talent and passion for songwriting. Since then, she has
decided to tell her story through her music. Her music is an eclectic mix of R&B and Soul
with Alternative elements sprinkled throughout. She released her sophomore single
‘Where Were You’ in August 2019 – an R&B vibe with alternative trap influences. She is
currently working on her debut EP – heavily influenced by the likes of Kehlani and Syd
which deals with themes of love, heartbreak and everything in between.
Slaney is the moniker of new Irish artist Slaney Power. It’s no wonder that Power is
perusing music given her family’s affluence in the industry: her father Niall drummed for
Bob Geldof and Westlife while her mother Shelly is a prolific songwriter (with whom Power
has written the bulk of her original material with). Working with Planet Parade’s Michael
Hopkins this project has a very exciting future ahead.
